For borderline signal indoors, add a high-gain external antenna to a router that already has an SMA port, such as the Huawei B315s or E5172. For signal that barely works indoors but is fine standing outside, an outdoor 5G CPE like the Huawei N5368X moves the antenna outside, where reception is stronger, and shares it inside as WiFi. If there is no cellular coverage near your address at all, no antenna, router, or CPE sold anywhere can create a connection that genuinely isn't there.
Walk around with your phone and check the signal bars in a few spots: the room where the router will sit, near a window, and standing just outside. A router that struggles in a back room but a phone that shows full bars by the window points to a placement problem, not a device problem. If your phone shows no signal in any of those spots, including outside, that's a coverage problem, and buying hardware won't fix it.

Some locations genuinely have no usable cellular coverage nearby, indoors or outside. An antenna or outdoor CPE can boost and reposition a weak signal, but neither can build a connection where a tower simply isn't in range.
