Insert a SIM, charge the battery, and a pocket WiFi device shares its 4G connection with nearby phones and laptops over WiFi, no wiring or installation. It solves a narrower problem than a home router: internet in a place you do not have one yet, for as long as the battery lasts. The four models we carry are close in size and price, so battery life and how many devices they support are the main things that separate them.
This is the biggest real difference between the four. The Zong 4G Bolt+ and Telenor 4G MiFi (same underlying Huawei E5573 hardware) run about 4 hours per charge on a sealed 1500mAh battery. The Ufone Blaze DWR-401 uses a removable pack rated for roughly 7-8 hours, swappable on its own if it wears out. The Ufone Blaze DWR-930M, genuine D-Link hardware, has the longest battery here: a 3000mAh pack rated for up to 12 hours.
The Zong 4G Bolt+ and Telenor 4G MiFi support up to 16 devices at once. The two Ufone Blaze models support up to 8. All four are meant for a room or a small group, not a full household.
Only the Ufone Blaze DWR-401 has a battery you can replace on its own once it wears down after a year or two of daily charging. The other three have a sealed battery built into the unit.
None of the four have an external antenna port, an Ethernet port, or 5G support. If weak indoor signal or a wired connection matters more to you than portability, look at our 4G Routers category instead.
