An external antenna is not a router on its own; it plugs into a router that has a matching SMA antenna port and improves reception in a weak or borderline-signal area. It repositions or strengthens the signal a router already receives, it cannot create a connection where there is genuinely no coverage at all.
Check your router's antenna port before ordering. Our current antenna uses a standard SMA-male connector, which matches the Huawei B315s and E5172 in this catalog. It will not fit a router without a matching SMA port.
